March 10, 2023 - Très différent comme produit, robe doré profond, nez sur les fruits tropicaux avec notes de réglisse noire. En bouche ça débute sur des notes de fruits mûrs très présent qui laissent croire que le vin sera sucré, mais non, la finale est sèche avec une légère acidité qui fait saliver légèrement. Les notes de fruit de la passion sont présentes avec du melon miel et une finale qui persiste avec une bonne longueur. Somme toute un bon vin,faut aimer le style fruité mais bon apéro sur une terrasse au soleil l'été.

March 7, 2021 - A more mature Croation Grasevina Kutjevo than the other very popular offering from Laithwaites. Deep gold in colour. Lime, grapefruit, vanilla, peach, melon, apricot and ripe banana. Medium intensity on the nose and palette. Med(+) body, medium acidity (feels like a higher acidity on the palette). Dry. Decent complexity and reasonable length, but the score reflects the lack of intensity and length given the price point which is a bit close to £20. I’d not keep it too long...

February 26, 2021 - Croatian white wine from Slavonia: Grasevina (Welschriesling). Aged in Slavonian oak barrels. 14,5 % alcohol.
Beautiful golden color.
Sweet aromas of honey and quince. Powerful flavors of melon, ripe pears and hints of licorice.
Dry. Full body. Medium acidity. Unbalanced. Unstructured. Some complexity.
Long finish with smoke and honey.
An interesting Grasevina, lot of power and flavors. Unfortunately I can’t say I like it. Power and flavors has been achieved at the expense of balance, structure and elegance. Barely drinkable according to my taste, but please be advised, it’s been awarded a Platinum medal from Decanter World Wine Awards. 80/100
