The iconic Steyr AUG rifle has been one of the most recognizable rifles in the world since its adoption by the Austrian army in 1977 and is now available for civilian use as the Steyr AUG A3 M1. The innovative bullpup design features a compact overall length of only 28 inches, even when equipped with a full length quick detachable 16 inch barrel. 

The AUG features a short stroke gas piston operating system with an adjustable gas regulator which allows the rifle to run clean and cool, resulting in less wear and tear, even in adverse conditions. The AUG features modular components and is designed for rapid disassembly and ease of maintenance. The barrel assembly is quick detachable and interchangeable with optional 20 inch and 24 inch barrels. 

The AUG A3 M1 is offered in two basic model variations – Standard or “NATO” Versions. 

The Standard version uses the original Austrian “waffle” pattern magazines and can be modified to accept an optional left hand bolt assembly to accommodate left hand shooters for left hand case ejection. 

The “NATO” version accepts AR-15 type magazines but is only suited for right handed shooters.  

The AUG A3 M1 stock assembly is highly durable synthetic and is available in Black, Green, Mud and White colors. A multiple variety of AUG A3 M1 customized accessories are also available through Steyr Arms.
